NBC and Rugby World Cup Press Conference

Before the Churchill Cup Finals in Harrison, New Jersey, USA Rugby approached me to photograph a press conference in New York City where NBC was announcing they would be covering the Rugby World Cup in 2011. It was an amazing experience for me, a rugby fan, to be up close and personal with the Webb Ellis Cup, the World Cup given out every four years to the best rugby team in the world.

USA Soccer vs. Colombia

In 2011, I was given a photo pass to a match between the United States and Colombia. This was my first time in PP&L Park in Philadelphia, and it is a great stadium to photograph in. Plus, the Philadelphia fans were loud throughout the night. Sadly, the game ended in a 0-0 tie, but it was still a great matchup with many scoring opportunities.

Southern California

In October 2011, I traveled out to Los Angeles to take part in the Bike MS: Coastal Challenge. Before and after the ride, I drove around the area taking photos at places like the Salton Sea, in Mexico for about two hours, and many places along the coast. I am excited to travel back out there this October to do the bike ride again.

2011 Philadelphia Bike Race

I have been going to this particular race for years. What started off as just going as a fan, grew into doing photography for some of the teams. The race almost always comes down to a bunch sprint, so it’s always six hours of amazing photographic opportunities.

Bogotá, Colombia

When a good airfare comes along and I can add an additional country to my list, I take it. This was evident at the beginning of 2012 when I jumped on a very cheap airfare to Bogotá, Colombia for 36 hours. I was able to accomplish quite a bit of sightseeing around the city, and bring back numerous souvenirs for family.

Churchill Cup Rugby

In 2010, I was asked by USA Rugby to take photos for them at the Churchill Cup Finals at the Red Bull Arena in Harrison, New Jersey. I jumped at the offer for a photo pass and a chance to watch a sport I love, from the sidelines of the field. The best part was that there were three matches scheduled on the day.

Dublin at Christmastime

In December 2011, I made a quick trip to Dublin, Ireland to gain status for 2012 on Continental Airlines. Airfare was cheap enough that I decided to travel with my camera and tripod and see some my favorite sights in the city. Things were made much better by the fact that all storefronts and numerous streets were decorated for Christmastime.

I feel blessed to live only an hour away from one of the most interesting, vibrant, and overall fun cities in the world. No matter what time of day it is, there is always something going on. In October 2011, I gave a friend a tour of some of the sights on a great day and I snapped these photos along the way.

Andrew Keoghan in NYC

I had the opportunity to photograph this great Kiwi musician back in October 2011 at the Living Room in New York City. This venue is very intimate and can probably fit only about 50-75 comfortably. I was able to get a seat near the front and was able to catch these images.

2011 Camden Backyard BBQ

For the past few years, there has been a great FREE music festival taking place in Camden, New Jersey. This year’s lineup did not disappoint and featured acts like 61 North, Conrad Oberg, Big Sam’s Funky Nation, Eric Lindsell, the Dirty Dozen Brass Band, and The Blind Boys of Alabama. The weather was absolutely perfect for the show and the crowd grew all day long.
