After finding cheap airfare, my wife and I, along with two of our friends, traveled 200 miles into the Arctic Circle in Finland to hunt the Northern Lights. Of the four nights we were there, one night had ideal conditions and we witnessed an amazing light show overhead.

Very rarely does the opportunity present itself to photograph international-level rugby in your own backyard. However, the Churchill Cup Tournament Finals took place in Harrison, New Jersey in 2010. I was able to get onto field level to photograph for USA Rugby, and two other matches as well.
In October 2010, I was given the opportunity to photograph some great international soccer between the United States and Colombia. The game ended in a 0-0 draw, but it was great to be down on field level in PPL Park and see the level of enthusiasm between fans.
In the summer of 2011, my wife and I traveled out to Kauai, Hawaii for a wedding of one of Rachel’s childhood friends. We were treated to warm temperatures, warmer waters, and absolutely stunning weather.
